Any business owner who wants a strong computer network will need to start with multiple computers and a good server console switch to allow them to communicate with one another. An effective system will be centrally located and have multiple consoles that allow information to be passed along quickly and efficiently.

Multiple servers will be needed and the number will depend on how much information must be stored and how many people need to have access. The servers should be kept in a dedicated space and together they power the other components of the system.

A console switch that can accommodate Ethernet cables will be needed. The cables will attach the servers to the consoles. The consoles will have access to all the servers simultaneously.

Consoles are nothing more than personal computers. Many offices are set up so there is one computer per employee. Schools will have networks that service hundreds of students at a time. The computers do not have to have access to each other but they all have access to the servers. Any files from a particular console that need to be shared can be sent to the server and any other console that is hooked up to the network can then access those files.

A system is only as powerful as the servers connected to it. The computers are simply portals that allow access to the information on the server. Through the server console switch, the computers and servers are able to communicate with each other and share files.
